Listen to the story, and think about these questions.
- Why are the peacocks fearful?
- What would you say to the first peacock to help him understand tolerance of others who are different from you? Make sure to think about what would cause the peacock to think differently. How would this prevent others from becoming fearful and how would that change the outcome to the story?
- If you want to learn more about the story visit Mem Fox’s website to read her reflections about this book.
Enemy Pie by Derek Munson
Listen to the story, and think about these questions.
- What is one benefit of getting along with others?
- Can you tell what a person is like just by looking at them? Do you need to visit with them first?
- Everyone is different, but how are we all the same too?
- Check out this website for a message from the author, Derek Munson and some activity ideas.
