Service in the Community
The Salford Mennonite-Advent Lutheran Church Garden provides over 10,000 lbs of fresh, organic produce to people in need each year. Over 60 volunteers tend the one-acre garden located on the Salford grounds. Read more about the garden here.

Rather than have many of its own outreach ministries, our congregation primarily seeks to support and serve in a variety of ways in our local community and beyond. This includes regular volunteering at:
The MCC Material Resource Center of Harleysville, which supports the physical needs of people suffering from poverty, oppression, natural disasters and war with relief kits, comforters, canned meat, and more.
The MCC Care & Share Thrift Shoppes of Souderton, which raises money for Mennonite Central Committee through providing quality used goods to the community.
Many Salford members support or have leadership roles with various Mosaic Mennonite Conference Related Ministries.
We also provide support for church planter César Marin in Mexico. Read his newsletters here.

Through our "Donation of the Month" project, we provide needed items for community organizations including:
Each month, those who come to worship on Sunday mornings, and families who use the childcare center, place specified donations on the shelf near the nursery. Each month's requested donations can be found on a sign in the foyer and in the church newsletter.
