Justice & Peace
The Justice and Peace Ministry Team works to promote Jesus’ call to live peaceably and to help those at the margins of society that Jesus desires for us to care for: the hungry, the stranger, the sick, the prisoner, the impoverished, the war torn. This team focuses on peace and justice issues globally, nationally and locally. The Justice and Peace Ministry Team coordinates activities such as special weekends focusing on justice issues like poverty and homelessness and the abolition of the death penalty, and the monthly collection of food donations to local food bank Keystone Opportunity Center. This team also coordinates the sponsoring of refugee families by the church; other areas of interest include the peace tax fund, creation care, and prison ministries. Justice and Peace Ministry Team meets on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. The meetings are open to all who are interested in attending. Please join us!
