Ministry Teams
Salford utilizes ministry teams to partner with the pastors to accomplish the work of the church. A ministry team is a group of people who share the common purpose of carrying out a specific ministry of the church. Though teams are unified around a common ministry, members of the teams bring varied spiritual gifts and complementary skills. Through the prayerful direction of the Holy Spirit they form plans and establish goals for their particular ministry. Pastoral Staff members seek to equip, advise and connect the various ministry teams. (Ephesians 4:12).
The mission of Salford is to bring healing and hope to the world through Jesus Christ. Ministry teams serve as the vehicle for carrying out this larger mission. Please contact one of our Pastoral Staff members if you feel called and have interest in participating in a ministry team. They will help you get connected with the Gifts Discernment Ministry Team whose primary responsibility is to discern the natural abilities and spiritual gifts of individuals for placement on ministry teams.
Our view of gifts and ministries can be summarized in the words of Paul: “Now there are a variety of gifts, but the same spirit: and there are a variety of services, but the same Lord; and there are a variety of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the spirit for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
