Rob Yoder
Rob Yoder began serving Salford as Music Director in 2011. In that role, he directs the Salford choir, serves as the church’s primary song leader, and assists in worship planning. Rob believes it is important to preserve the unique Mennonite tradition of four-part hymn singing, while adding the spice of musical styles from around the world. You will often see him leading with his acoustic guitar or even a concertina or mountain dulcimer. Rob also enjoys gathering the church’s singers and instrumentalists to add to the texture of worship. Rob has continued to perform and direct music since graduating in 1984 with a BA in Voice and Music Education from Goshen College. He has done solo work with Latvian Baptist and Mennonite choirs in Southeastern PA., and since 1990, Rob has performed with his family in the folk music group DayBreak. In his free time, Rob enjoys movies, reading, and building musical instruments. Rob and his spouse, Anna Lisa (Histand), live in Quakertown. They have three adult children, Trudy, Lydia, and Seth.
