Local Initiatives

Our mission from Christ is to take the good news of Jesus with us into the world, in word and deed. The evidence of this should be seen first in our own local community, by being actively, visibly present there, and making a lively network of opportunities to share and be of service. A favorite hymn prays that we “bind our souls this day” to that very work.

Recent Local Initiatives:

DD Wolf invites your participation in a  CROP Hunger Walk scheduled for Sunday, October 14. Beginning and ending at Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton, the 10K (6-mile) Walk will pass through Souderton, Telford, and part of Franconia Township. The fundraiser is sponsored by Church World Services, and benefits the CROP program (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty). You'll be joining "tens of thousands of people in communities across the U.S. who sacrifice a few hours (and a blister or two) to raise money and show solidarity with impoverished people struggling to become self-sufficient." You can participate by walking (raising money through your sponsors) or contributing financially as a sponsor. DD can provide you with an envelope to hold and/or record your donations. For more information, contact DD or visit the Church World Services CROP Walk website here .
