Dios Con Nosotros Our Sister Church in Mexico City Salford is blessed to have a “sister church” relationship with the Dios con Nosotros (“God with us”) congregation in Mexico City. This relationship encourages us to disciple one another, building bonds of fellowship, prayer, spiritual growth, and mission within God’s Kingdom. In reaching across national borders and asking “What can we do together that we cannot do alone?” we are challenged to listen carefully, think globally, and act accordingly. Salford and Dios Con Nosotros communicate regularly about activities, needs, and prayer concerns. We partner in mission efforts, and exchange visiting delegations of leaders and lay persons of all ages at least yearly. Nine Salford youth and two adults spent the week of July 15-21, 2007 in Mexico City, assisting Dios Con Nosotros with its Summer Bible School. A pictorial review of the week--which some of the youth described as "the best week of our lives!"-- can be found here . A written account of the trip is expected shortly. |
